WHAT ARE PRESETS & WHY USE THEM?
Presets are essentially the individual recipes photographers use to cook their .RAW images into a more complete or final product. Photographers using presets will often see a reduction in time spent post-processing their images as well as an improved cohesiveness throughout their body of work. With a simple movement of the cursor in Adobe Lightroom, users can rapidly preview a before and after photo to quickly sample through multiple presets and hone in on their creative vision in a much more direct manner. My presets are a part of my own workflow and they can be a part of yours too!
However I feel like I need to be upfront here, presets are not a one-click-wonder! By that I mean that their is truthfully no replacement for good lighting, composition, or an interesting subject. There is no preset around that will ever compensate for those factors, but what these presets can do is dramatically (and I mean DRAMATICALLY) improve the overall quality of each image through: enhancing color, detail, shadows/highlights, contrast, noise, split-toning, color-profiles, and much more! I have spent uncountable hours carefully and selectively going through the editing process on numerous photos having numerous lighting conditions with different creative directions for each. Through this arduous but fun process I have developed a series of presets for Adobe Lightroom that reflects my creative vision and understanding of light that are a perfect compliment to any workflow.
There are multiple presets available for purchase through both individual packs and collections, but I encourage you to explore them all! Of course if you have any questions or issues installing or using the presets please reach out using the contact page.
